Why Respecting Your Children Is Key To Successful Parenting

Welcome back! In today's episode we share how important it is to respect your children. Why, you say? Because we believe that when you respect your children, you not only get respect from them, but they learn how to respect others, as well. Our goal as parents should be to mold and shape our children into the best humans they can be and to instill in them traits and values that will make them successful in the world. We want our children to form strong relationships with others, but they cannot do that if it is not modeled for them. By respecting them, we role model that behavior and can teach them as they grow and mature. Nate and I share stories from our time houseparenting high school girls and elementary boys to share with you just how effective respecting children can be, and what it teaches them in the moment and in the long run. Listen in as we share our experience over the last (almost) 12 years and be encouraged to keep showing up every day for your kids, reminding that you love and respect them no matter what.
