The Art of Communication in Marriage

Communication with anyone can be difficult, let alone frustrating, but communication in marriage can be even more so, especially when there is miscommunication, anger, hurt and words said, but not meant. Nate and I discuss the "art" of communication in today's episode and we share our own personal struggles with communicating, as well as how we both have improved, and want to keep improving. We discuss the importance of marriage counseling not just as a means to fix a problem that has arisen, but as a tune up to make sure everything is still chugging along as it should be. We also share how watching how our parents communicated when we were kids can greatly impact how we may communicate with our partners, as well as how we communicate will impact how our kids not only communicate with us, but with others as well. We cover this and so much more and are very transparent with our successes and failures.
